What if one of the most powerful ways to improve student outcomes is by rethinking how we invest in the adult teams in our schools? Together, we will explore the concept of professional capital, the combined strength of social, human, and decisional capital, and its role in building collaborative, high-performing teams and schools. In collaborative groups, we’ll unpack each component, examine real-world examples, and engage in reflection and discussion to consider how leadership practices can build (or erode) professional capital. You’ll leave with practical strategies to cultivate trust, elevate professional expertise, and empower educator judgment—essentials for key initiatives to thrive.
