Creating meaningful literacy progress for students with disabilities requires more than just compliant documentation—it requires intentional alignment. In this session, participants will dive into the intersection of evidence-based literacy instruction, IEP goal development, and Student Reading Plans (SRPs) to ensure that what’s written in the plan is actionable and streamlined in practice.
Through real-world examples, case studies, and guided collaboration, educators will learn how to craft precise, measurable IEP goals that reflect students’ specific reading needs and align with their SRPs. Emphasis will be placed on using assessment data to drive both goal creation and instructional alignment. Participants will walk away with practical tools and strategies to strengthen coherence between IEPs and reading plans—ensuring that every student is supported with a plan that is both personalized and setting them up for success.
