2025 VBCPS Summer Leadership Conference
Welcome to the 2025 Summer Leadership Conference. This year’s conference marks a pivotal moment as we officially launch the new strategic framework, Compass to 2030, and introduce the Future-Ready Profile. Guided by the theme Learning Today, Leading Tomorrow, this conference is designed to inspire, challenge and equip you for the upcoming school year. With the goals of Compass to 2030 in mind, the conference strands reflect the knowledge and skills needed by today’s leaders. The most impactful leadership practices require people, instructional and organizational skills to support school success—and the sessions in each strand should reflect that integrated approach.
• Rise Up by prioritizing your own growth to strengthen your leadership mindset and effectiveness.• Build Up by empowering and supporting staff through effective adult learning, collaboration and systems for professional growth.
• Lift Up by ensuring every student thrives and is future-ready through evidence-based instructional practices and integrated systems of support.
• Team Up by forging powerful partnerships with students, families and community members using trust, communication and alignment to support student success.
Each school’s administrative team, including the principal, assistant principal(s), academy coordinator,
dean(s) and administrative assistant, is invited to attend both days of the conference.
• July 16 (Day 1) will focus on essential sessions for school administrative teams.
• July 17 (Day 2) will feature choice sessions, including content appropriate for teacher leaders.
